From the elaborate Gingerbread work, to the five hand painted ceilings, she has truly earned her place as the most opulent Plantation in the South. Influenced by Louise Von Seybold Marmillion’s Bavarian Heritage. This vividly colored home is listed as a National Historic Landmark. It features an 1830’s slave cabin, which includes a collection of black history documentation. An 1840’s one-room schoolhouse “The Sugar Mill Pavilion” is available for corporate events, weddings, receptions and other private parties.
